HubHound

Map your Mac’s USB

HubHound is a menu bar app that shows you what’s actually connected to your Mac.

I built it while trying to debug a USB device that was causing kernel panics. I wanted a clear map of my ports, hubs, docks, adapters, and devices, but I didn’t want to pay for a utility I’d only use once in a while.

So HubHound turns macOS’s hidden USB data into a visual connection map. It shows device paths, speeds, USB versions, power clues, and anything that looks suspicious, like a device running slower than expected. It’s a simple way to understand your setup when something on your desk is acting weird.
